Matmut ATLANTIQUE voted most beautiful stadium of 2015!

Our Bordeaux stadium has just received an award from stadiumdb.com. Out of more than 22 stadiums selected worldwide, the Matmut ATLANTIQUE stood out for its unique and innovative appearance. The jury of architecture experts voted it the most beautiful stadium of 2015, and the public voted it second behind the Estadio BBVA Bancomer (Mexico).

Designed by architects Herzog de Meuron, assisted by Groupe 6, the Matmut ATLANTIQUE is a new-generation multifunctional stadium dedicated to sport and culture. With a modular capacity of 42,115 seats, the building is designed to host a rich and diversified program of sporting competitions, shows, corporate events and more.

With its unique architecture and comfort, it offers spectators a unique experience in a spirit of conviviality. The only stadium of this capacity in the south-west of France, it is a key element in the region's development, a unique place for all generations to gather, share and enjoy.

Inaugurated in May 2015, the Matmut ATLANTIQUE hosted over 550,00 spectators and 110 corporate events in 2015. What's more, in 2016, it will host 5 Euro 2016 matches.
