Setting up the stage at Matmut ATLANTIQUE

The countdown is officially on !

In 3 days' time, the Matmut ATLANTIQUE will play host to Céline Dion (29 June) and just two days after that to Les Vieilles Canailles (1 July).

The first concerts to be held at the stadium, the stage set-up is attracting a lot of attention. How many lorries? How will the pitch be protected? To answer all these questions, a press briefing was held today at the stadium, opposite the arena where the stage is nearing completion.

Key facts:

  • The lawn is protected by 9,000 m² of protective sheeting
  • The stage is 52 metres long and over 20 metres high. 30 people worked on its assembly over 4 days.
  • The 8,500 seats that make up the parterre assis will be installed overnight on Wednesday.
  • 52 semi-trailers will be needed for this phase of assembling and configuring the stadium
  • 200 people from the two productions will be mobilised to set up the arena. Each concert day, 1,000 people will be present.

The Matmut ATLANTIQUE can't wait to welcome spectators to these two concerts, each as exceptional as the next. On the one hand, an internationally renowned singer and showgirl, and on the other, three legends of French chanson whose repertoire is known to all.
