ESG Sport begins the new academic year at Matmut ATLANTIQUE

A school at the stadium!

For the first time in Europe, a school is opening its doors within a sports stadium in permanent residence. ESG Sport (Groupe Galileo Global Education) starts its academic year this Monday at the Matmut ATLANTIQUE.

The Galileo Global Education Group and SBA signed a partnership agreement in the spring for a minimum period of three years. The move was prompted by the city and metropolitan authorities. The ESG's ambition is to become firmly rooted in the Bordeaux region, and to bring together all the players in the sporting world: clubs, federations, equipment suppliers and sports companies.

A school year at Matmut ATLANTIQUE

Over the academic year, 150 students will take courses at the Matmut ATLANTIQUE in sports management, sports marketing and sports event management, taught by professionals.

The courses will be given in the same spaces usually dedicated to the production of concerts and other major events.

Loic Duroselle, Chairman of SBA: "We are delighted to welcome ESG Sport to our facilities. It's yet another illustration of the dynamism of the stadium's teams, whom I'd like to thank, and of its openness to the region beyond the major sporting and cultural events. Bridges will be built between the school and our company so that students can better understand their future profession. I would like to wish the students and management of ESG every success for the new sports year!

Yvan Perrière, Director of ESG Sport: "We are delighted to be able to welcome our first intake of ESG Sport students to this iconic venue, Le Matmut ATLANTIQUE. We've always been keen to put down roots in the regions to meet the employment needs of the industries for which we train our students. Today, we are working hand in hand with the SBA teams, and now our students, to promote the world of sport in the Bordeaux region.

Happy back-to-school!
