An English-style stadium

Optimum visibility!

The new Bordeaux stadium offers optimum visibility from every point of the infrastructure.
Following the 'English' stadium typology, synonymous with visual comfort for all spectators, this Anglicism is found even in the railings close to the playing surface, known as Wembley railings.

Enhanced security

The first rows of bleachers, less than 10 metres from the players, are separated by railings fitted with elastic cables that prevent spectators from entering the pitch from the north and south stands. Having proved their worth in England at the famous Wembley Stadium, the use of this type of material is truly a safe bet.

The one-metre-high railings on the lower flight provide optimum visibility of the playing area. What's more, in the event of a crowd movement, access gates controlled by the stadium's security command post open onto the pitch and allow the public to be directed to the multiple exits from the enclosure provided in the event of an evacuation.

100% visibility

On the upper flight, as on level 2 of the dressing rooms and level 3 of the passageway, the guardrails are widened and inverted, 90 cm high and made up of a glass surface. The use of glass here ensures an enclosure offering 100% of seats with full visibility. The Gironde company ARESTALFER, based in Gradignan, is in charge of all the production and assembly of the metal structures linked to public safety. All told, the company has produced more than 3 km of handrails, positioned on the steps, as well as 500 metres of glass balustrades, positioned on the upper flight of the New Bordeaux Stadium.

Both high and low, the parabolic shape of the stands ensures that spectators have an unobstructed view from every row of seats. Previously devalued because of their position, the quarter-bends are now exceptional seats, offering the full cross-section of the stadium.
