The first 2 concerts in the stadium

Here's a look back at two major events in the stadium's history.

The first took place on Thursday June 29, the second two days later. The Bordeaux stadium was fortunate enough to welcome a number of immense artists to its stage in less than 3 days.

Céline Dion opened the Matmut ATLANTIQUE with an exceptional show. Céline Dion played to a sold-out crowd of nearly 32,000 fans! The international artist treated her audience to a concert mixing songs from her new album with classics from her repertoire.

Just two days after Céline Dion's show, it was the turn of three legends of French chanson, Les Vieilles Canailles, to take to the stage at the Matmut ATLANTIQUE. Johnny Hallyday, Jacques Dutronc and Eddy Mitchell set the stadium and the 20,000 fans who turned out to applaud them on fire. Johnny Hallyday even had a special escort: some sixty Harley Davidson motorcycles guided him from his hotel to the stadium.
