Landscaping for Bordeaux's New Stadium
Planting trees in front of the stadium!
The planting of the first pine trees on the western forecourt of Bordeaux's New Stadium began on the morning of Tuesday 7 October 2014. The aim of this urban development, which will eventually cover the 60,000 m² of reception areas around the stadium, is to integrate Bordeaux's future stadium into the environment of the Bordeaux-Lac area.
All the pine trees planted in the strips of earth mix on the forecourt of Bordeaux's New Stadium are between 7 and 8 metres high. A team of 10 workers is currently working on receiving, positioning and planting the selected vegetation.
Pines decorate the forecourt
Begun in early October 2014, the installation of all the pine trees on the western forecourt will be completed during November. All of the planting carried out on the entire 18.6 hectares of the area under construction will be incorporated by the end of 2014.
Michel DESVIGNE, the French landscape architect who won the 2011 Town Planning Award, will be the next subject of the zoom section published on the stadium's official website. See you soon for more news...
