Landscape integration at Matmut ATLANTIQUE

The planting of the first pine trees on the western forecourt of Bordeaux's New Stadium began on the morning of Tuesday, October 7, 2014. Eventually planting the 60,000 m² of reception areas around the stadium, this urban development aims to integrate Bordeaux's future stadium into the environment of the Bordeaux-Lac area.

All the pine trees planted in the earth mix strips on the forecourt of Bordeaux's New Stadium are between 7 and 8 meters high. A team of 10 journeymen is currently working on the reception, positioning and planting of the selected vegetation.

Begun in early October 2014, the installation of all the pine trees on the western forecourt will be completed in November. All the planting on the entire 18.6-hectare area under construction will be incorporated by the end of 2014.

Michel DESVIGNE, the French landscape architect who won the Prix de l'Urbanisme in 2011, will be the next subject of a zoom published on the stadium's official website. See you soon for more news...
